Big Tour for the Latvian – Perlage CAVALIADA Tour in Łódź gaining momentum

The first Big Tour competition at Perlage CAVALIADA Tour in Łódź was won by Kristaps Neretnieks from Latvia. Stage V of the CAVALIADA Eventing Tour ended with victory for Mathies Rüder from Germany, while Justina Vanagaite-Samuile from Lithuania triumphed in the Apart Dressage Tour competition.

In the first Big Tour class for the prize of the Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship, held under the patronage of Tarant Events, 53 horse-and-rider combinations took part. Nine of them cleared the 140 cm course, with victory going to Latvian rider and two-time Olympian Kristaps Neretnieks aboard the 16-year-old gelding Quintair. Second place belonged to Germany’s Mathies Rüder riding Flora V, while third went to his compatriot Marvin Jüngel with Don Corleone Z. The best Polish rider was Mściwoj Kiecoń on the mare Eyda L, who finished eighth. „Quintair was jumping really good today, maybe it’s after his winter holidays, I just showed him the fences and he went really well. The Perlage CAVALIADA Tour are the best shows in central Europe” – said the winner.

The highlight of the evening at Atlas Arena was the CAVALIADA Eventing Tour competition, for the prize of the Polish Equestrian Federation. Much to the surprise of the fans, the leader and current Olympic champion, Germany's Michael Jung, made a mistake in the order of the course in the first round and was unable to compete in the decisive second round, which was contested by 6 of the 12 competing horse-and-rider combinations. Ultimately, Mathies Rüder, proved his excellent form and galloped to victory aboard Poynstown Porsch. „My horse was really great today, he was really with me, the turns in the second round were really tight, it wasn’t easy, but he made it look very easy. Tomorrow I woud like to fight in the second round with Michael Jung!” – said Rüder.

The next places were taken by Polish riders – Julia Gillmaier on Cayada M and Joanna Pawlak with Armin de Monsieur. Dressage riders competed today in the fifth leg of the Apart Dressage Tour, a class held for the prize of the In_Spire Foundation. The highest scores belonged to Paris Olympian and current Tour leader Justina Vanagaite-Samuile from Lithuania riding Fedon. Ilona Janas finished second with Heracles, and Germany’s Lena Hassmann placed third riding Grey Rose. The morning Medium Tour competition, opening the third stage of Perlage CAVALIADA Tour and held for the prize of Grupa MTP, saw 66 pairs on the starting list. Among 17 clear rounds, the fastest one belonged to Jarosław Skrzyczyński riding the 11-year-old gelding Komboy. Germany’s Mathies Rüder took second place with Carlesta, with Pim Mulder from the Netherlands finishing third riding Jagger SRK.

In the Gold category of the Respect Energy Open Tour, for the prize of Nowy Adres, Milena Sołtysiak took home the victory riding Checkalito S. Aleksandra Lewicka was second with Narthago VDL, while third place went to Lena Molenda with Ridor. Dominika Jankowska won the Silver category of the Respect Energy Open Tour, for the prize of ToBilet.pl, riding Quick Magic de Barcenal Z. Julia Tybulczuk finished second with Jasmin Lazar, and Hubert Prasek was third riding Bueno L. The Respect Energy Open Tour Bronze category, held for the prize of Idea Expo, ended with victory by Jan Mordzelewski riding Have Fun. Anna Błażewicz took second place with Giro d’Italia Red Wine, while third place went to Maja Głoskowska riding Atos.
