Dutch rider victorious in the Big Tour
The Big Tour competition counting for the Longines ranking and the FEI Jumping World Cup Central European League Final for the prize of Grupa MTP ended with the victory of Amanda Slagter from the Netherlands with the 11-year-old stallion Cornet Blue PS. Germany’s Lena Hassmann riding Breefood's Framework was the best in the CAVALIADA Dressage Tour class.
The 145 cm course favoured those who prefer offensive riding, and a very smooth one at that. There were also two, relatively low-risk shortcuts to be taken, but those at the top of the leaderboard had to take these today. Today’s win in the Big Tour belonged to Amanda Slagter and Cornet Blue PS – a rider from the Netherlands, who has already shown herself from a very good side at CAVALIADA in Poznań, placing fifth in the PKO Bank Polski Grand Prix.
"I really like CAVALIADA, there are very good conditions for the horses. Today's course was very pleasant - perfect for me and my horse. I've been riding him since last March and each month we feel better together and are more in tune. I'm happy to win four-star competitions with him, and I'm also hoping to compete in five-star classes together. Tomorrow I will ride the 150 cm, on Saturday we have a day off and on Sunday - the Grand Prix - the final of the Central European League of the World Cup," said the winner, Amanda Slagter.
Second place went to Felix Hassmann and Quiwitino WZ, well known to the CAVALIADA audience. On Finja Bormann and Lafocolo Crazy Stud took home the third. Young Estonian My Relander and Expert finished just outside the podium - the best rider Central European League rider of today’s class, scoring a set of ten points. There has been a small reshuffle in the World Cup Central European League leaderboard. Angelos Touloupis remains in pole position, but Latvian Kristaps Neretnieks jumped into the second, and Sara Vingralkova dropped to third. My Relander is now fourth. Tomorrow, the World Cup rivalry continues with the 150 cm jump-off class, which will also count towards the World Ranking and, importantly for CAVALIADA fans, the CAVALIADA TOUR.

The CAVALIADA Dressage Tour for the prize of Horse & Business Magazine ended with a win by Lena Hassmann from Germany, competing with the 7-year-old stallion Breefood's Framework, with a score of 70.877%. It was the rider’s first time competing at CAVALIADA, but it was not her first time at the event, as she has visited many times with her husband, Felix Hassmann.
"I really have to thank CAVALIADA for such an amazing show. Especially for us dressage riders as we don't get the opportunity to perform in such big arenas very often. My horse was amazing today, he is still very young, only 7 years old. For me it's a good chance to show him such a special competition atmosphere that he's never experienced before. He was just great, and it was only his second start at the Small Round level. I think he couldn't have done better," - said Lena Hassmann
In the CAVALIADA Dressage Tour ranking before Saturday's final, Sandra Sysojeva remains the leader, second place belongs to Karolina Mazurek and third to Marcin Woldanski.
Polish riders were victorious in earlier classes. Hubert Polowczyk on K'Ermitage Premices Z in the Medium Tour for the prize of the Polish Equestrian Federation, Andrzej Głoskowski with Olza in the Small Tour for the prize of TAURON Arena Krakow, Lena Puszkarewicz with Lili Marlene and Adrianna Pyplacz with Ixelle De Fremis in competitions for amateurs as part of CAVALIADA Open Tour.
