The Big Tour competition on the first day of CAVALIADA Krakow ended with a victory for Romanian representative Andrea Herck. Joanna Pawlak won the CAVALIADA Eventing Tour class and the Apart Dressage Tour win went to Lena Hassmann.

The Big Tour class, for the prize of Arka, under the patronage of the Polish Equestrian Federation, gathered 46 pairs at the starting list. A competition counting for the world ranking, but also for the final of the FEI World Cup Central European League. In accordance with the World Cup regulations, it was a speed competition in which knockdowns were converted into penalty seconds. In the end, victory belonged to Romania’s Andrea Herck, riding the 11-year-old mare Epsilon de Roulard, closely followed by the Czech Republic's Ales Opatrny aboard 14-year-old Forewer. Thus, these two riders strengthened their positions as leader and vice-leader respectively of the Central European League table and moved one step closer to the coveted promotion to the final in Basel. Thanks to a dynamic round, despite one knockdonw, Colombian Santiago Diaz Ortega riding Tuuls topped off the podium.

‘My horse jumped great and I am very glad. We still have two more Central European League classes to go, we will fight until the very end because nothing is certain yet. Epsilon de Roulard is an amazing and fast horse and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the next days’ - said the winner.

The best of the home athletes - Jarosław Skrzyczyński riding - took eighth place.

In the seventh stage of CAVALIADA Eventing Tour, for the prize of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, 10 pairs took part. The first course turned out to be demanding - only two cleared it within the time allowed. The second, decisive clash was also full of sporting emotions. It seemed that the leader, Paweł Warszawski riding Fuerta, would be unbeatable, but a knockdown at the last skinny fence added three penalty seconds to his score and he had to settle for third place. Then the lead was taken by an extremely experienced rider and a true star of CAVALIADA Krakow - the three-time and current Olympic champion, Germany’s Michael Jung on the Polish-bred horse FischerSolution II. However, he was deprived of the victory by the last to start - the Polish champion - Joanna Pawlak aboard her 16-year-old mare Fantastic Frieda.

‘Frieda is always fast and we know each other very well.  In the final I will ride my second horse, Armin, who has been doing very well this season and I hope it will continue like this.’ - said the winner.

In the Apart Dressage Tour competition, for the prize of Apart and under the patronage of the In_Spire Foundation, the highest score today belonged to Germany's Lena Hassmann riding Maddox Mart. Agnieszka Wisniewska with Tara was second, and third place was taken by Viktorija Kundrotaite from Lithuania with Kyandro FVE.

In the Medium Tour, for the prize of Arena Krakow, the best one today was the Angelos Touloupis from Greece with Del Rey of the Lowlands Z. Second place went to Jarosław Koziarowski with King Salvador and third to Marek Wacławik with Cascadero.
