10The Grand Prix of Warsaw for the award of the President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Polski, under the patronage of the MTP Group, saw the victory of Wojciech Wojcianiec, a representative of Poland, on Naccord Melloni.
The parkour of the Grand Prix competition included in the world ranking, which was at the same time the final of the CEL World Cup and the final of CAVALIADA Tour, was very demanding. The goal of the 155 cm high obstacles and the technically-challenging course was to select the best competitors from Central and Eastern Europe for the World Cup finals. Only two pairs entered the game. Radosław Zalewski on the mare Ilatina was the first to ride, and he made one mistake. Given the situation, Wojciech Wojcianiec on Naccord Melloni followed a very good strategy and decided to ride fast, regardless of his friend’s mistake. He also had a drop, but thanks to a better time he was the one to win.
The third place went to Estonian Kullo Kender on Artas horseback, with one point for exceeding the standard ride time. The fourth place was taken by Jarosław Skrzyczyński on Chacclana, who had one drop, but the best time.
Thanks to these results, the first three places in the CEL ranking were taken by Skrzyczyński, Kender and Wojcianiec, respectively. This competition also revealed the best athletes in the CAVALIADA Tour 2018/2019 (8 difficult competitions in Poznań, Lublin, Kraków and Warsaw). It was the fifth time that Jarosław Skrzyczyński had taken the first place. The second place went to Wojciech Wojcianiec and the third to Krzysztof Ludwiczak. In addition, Filip Lewicki turned out to be the best athlete in the special standings for the best athlete under 21.
