Nothing is certain yet, but Polish Champion Wojciech Wojcianiec took a significant step in the fight for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In the technically challenging Grand Prix competition for the award of the President of PKO Bank Polski under the patronage of the President of Poznań, which was participated in by many great athletes, Wojcianiec riding Chintablue took second place, giving way only to the excellent Swiss female rider, Janika Sprunger riding King Edward.
This gave him 80 points for the world ranking of the equestrian federation, which is also included in the Olympic ranking of group C (Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia). In the latest ranking published today by FEI, Kristaps Neretnieks from Latvia on Moon Rady remains in the lead, while Wojciech Wojcianiec on Chintablue takes second place. Moreover, his advantage over the third in the table, Omere Karaevli from Turkey, is currently 70 points. The fourth place belongs to Andrzej Opłatek together with Stakkatan. Two riders are promoted from group C, but only one from each country.
This week Wojciech Wojcianiec will take part in CSI4* Salzburg, and the last stage to collect points will be CSI3* Frankfurt held from 19 to 22 December.
