Poles are the largest group. Amongst others, we will see Krzysztof Ludwiczak, the defender of the title, last year’s winner of the CAVALIADA Lublin Grand Prix. It is worth remembering that this athlete ended the 2019 season with winning the bronze medal of the Polish championship following a series of excellent performances in the Polish team (including second places in the Nations Cups in Norway and Denmark). Together with him, we will see Andrzej Opłatek from the Wielkopolska club HEAA Turek, who is the vice-leader of the PZJ ranking and winner of last year’s European Youngster Cup final in Salzburg. Out of the top ten of the Polish Federation of Equestrian Sports (PZJ) ranking we will also see the current Polish vice-champion Michał Kaźmierczak, eight-time Polish champion and the Olympic Games athlete from Athens Grzegorz Kubiak, winner of last year’s Longines Rankings competition in Wiener Neustadt Maksymilian Wechta and Kamil Grzelczyk, who won four Grand Prix contests at international competitions in 2019.
As always, Lublin will see the biggest stars of the Baltic countries among foreign guests. From Estonia, they will be: the country’s most outstanding jumping athlete Gunnar Klettenberg and the revelation of last season, current leader of the World Cup Central European League Kullo Kender. From Lithuania, World Cup finalist Andrius Petrovas, as well as national champion Irmantas Grikienis. Laura Penele from Latvia, winner of the 2019 Tallinn World Cup Grand Prix, may prove to be a strong competition for our athletes. It will be the first time for Aggelos Touloupis, a representative from Greece, to take part in Cavaliada Lublin. He is the highest ranked Greek athlete in the FEI ranking. Of the German competitors, the best is Andreas Brenner, who has already won 16 contests classified in the world ranking in his career.
