Home rider victorious in the Big Tour
The most important showjumping competition of the first day of CAVALIADA Warsaw ended with the win of Michal Kazmierczak riding Whoopy Boy. In dressage, victory belonged to Sandra Sysojeva.
The Big Tour competition, for the prize of Grupa MTP, the first qualification for Sunday's Grand Prix, turned out to be very interesting. The course was condensed and, on the one hand, required a lot of concentration, but, on the other hand, favoured smooth and dynamic riding. Already at the beginning of the class, Felix Hassmann from Germany riding C'EST LA VIE 214 did an excellent job, rode very offensively and it seemed that he would be the one to lead for a long time. But this, ultimately, was not the case. The following riders, mainly guests from abroad, who came to Warsaw in a strong cast, were very fast, and the quickest one for over two hours was the Dutchman, Lars Kuster riding HEAVEN OF ROMANCE. At the end, Poles rode very well: Michał Kaźmierczak with WHOOPY BOY, a reliable mount in this type of class, crossed the finish line in 51,69, which secured their victory. Adam Nicpoń with CYCERA, with the time of 51,81, took the second place. In the end, the Dutchman had to settle for third.
- The competition in Warsaw certainly leveled up. A three-star competition mean more difficult classes, there are more riders from abroad, including a lot of well-known names such as Gerco Schroder. Today the course favoured us, because to win we had to ride very tight. WHOOPY BOY is a fast horse, so it was an easier task for him. Tomorrow I wil ride the ranking class with the 8-year-old KALAHARI ROCK. He is a young but very promising horse. I also have NOTIS with me, who will compete in the Grand Prix, and WHOOPY will ride the Middle Round Final," said Michał Kaźmierczak.
In the Middle Tour competition, for the prize of Idea Expo, we saw as many as 67 horse-and-rider combinations. The best of them turned out to be Felix Hassman and the mare ELLI 162. Second place went to Antonina Kucharska with CHICHA MINT and third - to Lithuania’s Trojus Rimkevicius with CALIMERO W.
Sandra Sysojeva started the CAVALIADA Dressage Tour with a victory in the class for the prize of In_Spire Foundation, with a score of 72.58%. Karolina Mazurek riding Bialy Kruk was second, and Marcin Woldanski with J'ADORE topped off the podium. We will meet again with dressage riders on Saturday.
The first class, opening the rivalry in Warsaw, was CAVALIADA Open Tour, for prize of COS Torwar. The best turned out to be Zofia Trela aboard CALOTTA, second place was taken by by Oliwa Chwesewicz and the third - by Horia Butuza. In the second Open Tour category - 120 cm, 12 pairs competed for the prize of toBilet.pl. The podium was dominated by gentlemen - Kamil Kowalski won riding CELINE, Jakub Ryczkowski and QUALITY QUEEN took the second, and Jacek Muraczewski and ARIA - third.
