Lithuania’s Petrovas wins the Big Tour, home hero Skrzyczyński third

The Big Tour competition at Perlage CAVALIADA Tour in Łódź, counting for the world ranking and Perlage CAVALIADA Tour, ended with victory for Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas, with home rider Jarosław Skrzyczyński coming third.

Forty-seven horse-and-rider combinations competed in the Big Tour competition, counting towards the world ranking and Perlage CAVALIADA Tour, for the prize of Perlage and under the patronage of the City of Łódź. The 150 cm course, designed by Marco Hesse from Germany, was cleared by 19 pairs from 5 countries, including 8 from Poland, which meant that the audience gathered at the Atlas Arena was in for a very exciting jump-off.

The battle in the jump-off truly was fierce. Due to the number of competitors, no one could be sure of the placings. Riders had to take risks, which often resulted in knockdowns. The best round over the shortened course belonged to the representative of Lithuania – three-time World Cup finalist Andrius Petrovas, riding Qarath van Paebroek Z.

„I feel amazing. Qarath jumped great, he’s quite big and sensitive, but now I feel he’s starting to be really competitive. CAVALIADA shows are always nice to compete at, the audience is really great and supportive.” – said Petrovas.

Second place went to Germany’s Marvin Jüngel on Helene 50, and third to home rider Jarosław Skrzyczyński riding Komboy, just 0.42 seconds behind the leader.

Maksymilian Wechta remains the leader of the Perlage CAVALIADA Tour ranking with 36 points. Marek Lewicki is in second place with 31 points, and Peter Szuhai from Hungary sits in third with 29 points. The next chance for athletes to gain valuable points before the grand finale in Krakow is Sunday's Perlage CAVALIADA Tour Grand Prix of Łódź.

For the second day in a row, Jarosław Skrzyczyński was the best in the Medium Tour. Today, in the class for the Łódź Agglomeration Railway prize, he galloped to victory aboard 13-year-old stallion Inturido. Second place went to Andrius Petrovas with Rowin van de Brouwershoeve, and third to Marvin Jüngel riding Claus CM.

In the Respect Energy Open Tour Gold category competition, for the prize of Respect Energy, under the patronage of Grupa MTP, Maria Glonek was victorious riding Sherlock van't Heike. Milena Sołtysiak with Checkalito S came second, and Paulina Zubrzycka with Randix van de Hunters – third.

In the Silver category of Respect Energy Open Tour, Hanna Kosińska with Stormer van het Bevrijdthof was the best one today. She was followed closely by Anna Kłosowska with Joy Ride B, and Julia Tybulczuk riding Constantine M took third place.

Ignacy Luboński with Mariposa won the Bronze category class of Respect Energy Open Tour. Nel Stevens on the mare Ulilen was second, and Zuzanna Dziak riding Herb came third.
