Nearly 100 athletes competed in the medium round on the first day. Today we saw 48 best athletes in the final. Seventeen couples succeeded in going through the basic course of the world ranking competition with no mistakes. That is why, in order to win, the athletes had to take a lot of risk in the jump-off. Janika Sprunger performed best on the gelding Little Magic D’asschaut. The second place went to the vice-champion of Poland Michał Kaźmierczak, who lost only 1.15 seconds riding the inexperienced mare Dame De Pique. The third place went to the team world champion Jur Vrieling (NED) with Fiumicino van de Kalevallei.
Krzysztof Ludwiczak with the 7-year-old horse Diaroubet finished fourth. Other Polish athletes also did well: Kamil Grzelczyk with Mister Dr. Heigl finished 9th, Maksymilian Wechta with London finished 12th, followed by Cassandra Orschel with Cookie B in 13th.
