ORLEN Driving Tour – more teams and new rules
Horse-drawn carriage driving competitions will be held twice during the four days of each stage of the CAVALIADA Tour, with more competitors fighting for victory. The regulations of the ORLEN Driving Tour competition and proposals for the competition in Warsaw have already been published.
Competitors can register to take part in the ORLEN Driving Tour during CAVALIADA in Warsaw until 6 November. After this day, we will know the list of people who will compete in extremely exciting horse-drawn carriage driving competitions. They will be held in the COS Torwar hall on Saturday and Sunday. Aleksander Fularczyk, the winner of the previous edition, has already announced his start. - Last year, the competition in Warsaw was very successful for me because I won both competitions. I hope that this result will be repeated – says Aleksander Fularczyk and adds: - Of course, I'm most looking forward to CAVALIADA in Sopot. The emotions that accompany me at the start in front of my own public that always cheer me on are indescribable. However, regardless of the location, my appetite for victory is just as great. I am currently training in the United States, where I am developing as a competitor, and I left my horses that will start at CAVALIADA in good hands. I have a big challenge ahead of me. After a 2.5-month absence, I will take the reins of my carriage just a few days before the first competition – reveals Aleksander Fularczyk.
The ORLEN Driving Tour will be held in four competitions and will be divided into stages:
1) Warsaw (16-19/11/2023) – Stage 1 and 1
2) Poznań (7-10/12/2023) – Stage 3 and 4
3) Sopot (1-4/02/2024) – Stage 5 and 6
4) Kraków (22-25/02/2024) – Stage 7 and the Final
A maximum of 9 teams can start in each Stage and Final. A new provision in the regulations states that horse-drawn carriage drivers can take part in CAVALIADA, regardless of their citizenship.
According to the ORLEN Driving Tour regulations, the following persons have the right to start:
- Two best competitors of the Polish Championships in Horse Carriage Driving
- Two winners of two qualifying competitions
- Two competitors with a wildcard awarded by the Organiser
and
- A maximum 3 foreign competitors invited by the Organiser
