Petrovas continues his winning streak in Łódź

Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas scored his second win at Perlage CAVALIADA Tour in Łódź – this time winning Medium Tour Final. His compatriot Justina Vanagaite-Samuile triumphed in the Apart Dressage Tour.

Thirty-nine horse-and-rider combinations took part in the Medium Tour Final, for the prize of BOŚ Bank and under the patronage of Baborówko Equestrian Association. The competition featured a very interesting format with a winning round, meaning that the top twelve combinations qualified for the second round. The initial 145 cm course, designed by Germany’s Marco Hesse, was not an easy one, as riders and their horses had to stay focused from the very beginning of the 12-obstacle track, as qualification for the winning round remained uncertain until the very end.

In the decisive round, Jarosław Skrzyczyński riding Inturido set the bar sky high with a clear round, stopping the clock at 33.32 seconds. However, his lead did not last long, as Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas, in excellent form in Łódź after already winning Friday’s Big Tour competition, proved to be even faster. This time he triumphed riding 9-year-old gelding Rowin van de Brouwershoeve, and none of those riding after him managed to beat his time of 33.25 seconds.

“My horse performed very well today. I didn’t take a full risk in the key turn of the winning round, but Rowin is naturally fast and we made up valuable time in other parts of the course,” said Petrovas.

The top three was completed by Fleur Holleman from the Netherlands riding 14-year-old Cataque du Haut Breil. It is also worth noting the career-best result achieved today by 19-year-old Milena Sołtysiak, who finished at impressive seventh place riding Nascha VD Donkhoeve Z.

Dressage riders presented themselves today in the arena in the spectacular Freestyle competition performed to music of their own choice. This was the sixth leg of Apart Dressage Tour, held for the prize of the Apart brand. The highest scores from the judges were awarded to Lithuania’s Justina Vanagaite-Samuile riding the 12-year-old stallion Fedon. Second place went to Germany’s Lena Hassmann on Grey Rose, while third was claimed by Poland’s Ilona Janas riding Heracles.

„Fedon was really on fire today, especially in the last extended canter. I was actually thinking if I should do showjumping today instead of dressage!” – said the smiling winner.

Vanagaite-Samuile strengthened her lead in the Apart Dressage Tour standings ahead of the Kraków finale, with a perfect score of 36 points. Ilona Janas moved up to second place with 23 points, while another Lithuanian rider, Viktorija Kundrotaite, is third with 21 points.

The youngest equestrian talents with their ponies took to the arena today in the Perlage CAVALIADA Future. In the MINI category, victory went to Nell Klupś riding Pasjonata Parys. Second place was taken by Helena Lubońska with S-Piorun, with Hanna Filkiewicz finishing third with Junior.

In the MIDI category, the win belonged to Konstancja Dziedzińska of riding Vulcano. Amelia Marszałek from KJ Stajnia Przylesie Borzęta finished second with Heeterveen’s Julia’s Luna, while Sara Wnuczko took third place aboard Falco.

The final competition of the Respect Energy Open Tour in the Gold category, for the prize of Nuba Equi, ended with a win by Maria Glonek riding Sherlock van’t Heike. Milena Sołtysiak was the runner-up on Checkalito S, while Hungary’s Nóra Forgács took home the third place with Independence Touch BBA.

Maria Glonek is now the leader of the standings in this category with 53 points. Hubert Prasek sits in second with 48 points, followed by Aleksandra Lewicka in third with 45 points.

Szymon Cieślak riding Con Shapo Ba triumphed in the final of the Respect Energy Open Tour Silver category, under the patronage of TVP Sport. Julia Tybulczuk finished second with Constantine M, while Marta Wójtowicz was third with Calmette-P.

The winner leads the standings in his category ahead of the Kraków final with 53 points. Anna Kłosowska sits in second place with 45 points, and Julia Tybulczuk is third with 44 points.

In the final of the Respect Energy Open Tour Bronze category, under the patronage of Grupa MTP, Maja Głoskowska riding Atos claimed victory. Magdalena Kozłowska finished second riding Qanvas St. Hubertushoeve, while Anna Błażewicz completed the top three on Chaccmo RT.

The leader of the standings in this category is Zuzanna Dziak with 49 points. Julia Banasik trails her by five points, and Ignacy Luboński by six.
