Time to think about Sopot
The last preparations for the second stage of CAVALIADA Tour 2021/22 are underway in Poznań, but the organizers must already plan what will happen at the beginning of the year, during the next edition of the event. Hence, the entry panel for the competition scheduled for 20-23 January in ERGO ARENA is already open today.
Known for years on the equestrian map of the world, mainly from the CSIO competitions held here during the summer, Sopot will for the first time host a prestigious indoor event. The organizer of CAVALIADA Tour - Grupa MTP, has added another entertainment hall to their list of locations - ERGO ARENA, lying on the border of two cities - Sopot and Gdańsk.
The modern infrastructure will allow for the preparation of a spacious arena (70 x 35 m) for athletes and their horses. Before the start, participants will be able to warm up at two arenas (40x20 and 30x20).
The core of the sports program is the CSI2* with three rounds. The prize pool includes over PLN 350,000, with 12 classes at various levels, ranging from 120 to 145 cm.
In the Big Tour, after Thursday's 140 cm class, the competitors will continue to fight for high financial prizes and points for two rankings. Both the Friday 145 cm competition and Sunday’s Grand Prix (145 cm) will have a pool of PLN 104,000 and will count for the FEI and CAVALIADA Tour rankings.
The Middle Tour includes two qualifying classes – 130 and 135 cm. On Saturday, the riders will have to choose between two – the Middle Tour Final (140 cm, with jump-off, PLN 24 000 prize pool) or the spectacular Speed & Music (130 cm speed class, prize pool of PLN 20 000).
As always during CAVALIADA, the program includes two special classes: the well-known Puissance (PLN 21 000), and the Venus vs Mars (top score competition, prize pool of PLN 23 000). Less experienced pairs and younger riders will take part in the Small Tour, with fences up to 120 and 125 cm.
After the good reception of the CSI Amateur - Owners competition in Poznań, the organizer decided to continue the rivalry for this group. Here, athletes will have the opportunity to compete over 110-115 cm courses and will be guests of the VIP zone. In order to take part in this type of competition, the rider (or a member of the immediate family) must be the owner of the reported horse and sign a declaration in the national federation one does not earn money from equestrian sport.
Please remember to regularly measure the temperature of the horses that are to take part in CSI and enter it into the FEI HorseApp every day.
