Victory for Skrzyczyński, home riders dominate the podium

Jarosław Skrzyczyński was victorious in today's Perlage CAVALIADA Tour Grand Prix of Łódź. The entire podium belonged to Poland, as Wojciech Wojcianiec and Dawid Skiba took home the second and third.

Thirty-seven pairs from twelve countries competed today in the Perlage CAVALIADA Tour Grand Prix of Łódź, counting for the world rankings, for the prize of the Perlage brand and under the patronage of the City of Łódź. The first course, set at a height of 150 cm, consisted of 13 obstacles, including double and triple combinations, and was not easy an easy one.
"The course, designed by Marco Hesse from Germany, was complete, even textbook perfect. It contained all the elements that this type of course should, and it was really diverse. As expected, one of the most difficult elements was riding into the triple combination and then the combination itself, which was also not easy as it had two oxers. At the beginning, there was also a tight line to a vertical with a board, as well as another interesting line – two widely spaced and very wide oxers at a distance of five strides. No one could be sure of victory until the very end, because the combination number twelve also took its toll, and then the last vertical set at an alternative distance of five or six strides. The jump-off was also very interesting, with plenty of alternatives – the course designer did a great job” – said Szymon Tarant, Sports Director of Perlage CAVALIADA Tour.

Ten horse-and-rider pairs ultimately answered these technical questions with clear rounds. The Polish representatives were in excellent form today, as six of the ten were home athletes. Jarosław Skrzyczyński, riding the 11-year-old gelding Komboy, galloped to victory in the final jump-off. This victory was almost “in the air” at Atlas Arena – as the rider was third in Friday's Big Tour, second in Saturday's Medium Tour Final, and today he went “all in” and stood on the highest step of the podium.

“I feel good – finally. I was third here before, then second, and now finally I’m first,” said Skrzyczyński. “I had a slightly different plan between the first two fences, but then everything worked out as it should. Cavaliada fans are wonderful and I can always count on them.”

Other Polish representatives did not disappoint their audience either. Second place went to Wojciech Wojcianiec riding Aliean Zin'Galeriani, third to Dawid Skiba with Odilon van het Bevrijdthof, and fourth to Marek Lewicki with Quadis II. All four scored a “double clear”.
The competition was also the sixth stage of the Perlage CAVALIADA Tour series before the final, which will be held in Krakow in less than four weeks. The leader with 42 points is Maksymilian Wechta (tenth in today's Grand Prix), second place belongs Marek Lewicki with 40 points, and today's winner Jarosław Skrzyczyński moved up to third with 35 points.

In the Perlage CAVALIADA Future competition in the MINI category, Kacper Seroczyński riding Flora PK was the best one today. Second place went to Helena Lubońska with S-Piorun, and third place to Natalia Czyżyk-Zahiu and her mare Mela.

The leader in this category before the final competition in Kraków is Nell Klupś with 36 points. Second place belongs to Kacper Seroczyński with 30 points, and third place is shared by Otylia Reimann and Helena Lubońska with 21 points each.
Blanka Pellowska riding Corbinian won the competition in the MIDI category. She was followed closely by Zuzanna Sasin riding Juultje, and Konstancja Dziedzińska with Vulcano came in third.
Today's winner leads the MIDI table with a total of 36 points. Konstancja Dziedzińska is in second place, 5 points behind, and Sara Wnuczko is in third place with 25 points to her account.
The Challenge Cup competition, with a prize from SKAVSKA, ended with victory for Lithuania’s Matas Petraitis riding Holle. Jarosław Skrzyczyński with Constable came second, and Fleur Holleman from the Netherlands on Innuendo R&D – third.
